"We had a wonderful impromptu getaway at the Village Inn Bed & Breakfast"
Date of review: Mar 1, 2011
My wife and I became wayward travelers on Valentine's Day weekend when our original plans didn't work out. Fortunately for us, we happend to walk into the Village Inn Bed
&
Breakfast in search of accomodations for two nights on a moments notice. Within five minutes we knew that we had found a great place to stay.
The room was comfortable and cozy. Everything was clean and well kept and we felt right at home. The service was excellent. The Village Inn B&B also has a restaurant
where
we ate breakfast and dinner, which was included in our package. The food was awesome: perfectly prepared and delicious. I still have a craving for the gingerbread pancakes.
Dinner was exceptional. The Village Inn B&B turned an otherwise dismal weekend into a wonderful get away for the two of us.

"Lovely Historic B&B and Restaurant"

This is a 19th century hotel in the heart of historic Lenox. We were able to easily walk everywhere we wanted to go in Old Town. The restaurant features wonderful and creative fine
dining.
This is our second visit in January, and we will always return here when we visit Lenox. This time we stayed in their 3rd floor two bedroom suite along with another couple...friends.
We all agreed our visit was very comfortable, interesting, and pleasant. There is a fun bar in the basement. Service was very professional, personal, and helpful. My wife says it was
romantic, too.

"Exceptional Place to be"

We were married at the Village Inn two years ago and go back every year for dinner on our anniversary. We met at The Village Inn at the quaint bar downstairs. Troy the
Bartender is excellent and funny. He knows how to treat all the patrons. The Restaurant is wonderful, excellent food and great staff. Jennifer is a great person to talk with.
We enjoy returning and seeing the same great staff year after year. The Inn has a very homey feel to it. The owners and staff are very knowledgeable about the Inn and it's
history. This lead us to having our wedding here. It was a very special time for us. Thanks Jenn and John for all the great work.

"Excellent meal, second to none ambience/service"

We dined here on a Saturday night in early November and the restaurant was basically empty. There were probably 25-30 tables in the restaurant and all but 4 including us were empty.
Which was awesome. We got to talk at length with our waitress, Jen, who is also the proprietor, who was charming and outgoing, and we had a spectacular meal and bottle of wine. The
butternut squash bisque was particularly amazing, as were the tournedoes (petits fillets mignons served on top of small pieces of toast, and covered in heaven on earth). It was an
absurdly rich meal, but nothing a little grand marnier couldn't wash down. If you like country inn warmth and delicious food, served by a charming and amiable staff, eat at
Rumpelstiltskin's while in Lenox!
